🎉 New – Support for the new WooCommerce editor
Still in beta, the WooCommerce teams are working on the new editor for product sheets.
The metaboxes of all third-party extensions will no longer be supported, as will the additions to the sidebar of the block editor.
Even if everything can still evolve, this consolidates our integration strategy within page builders / editors via our universal SEO metabox.
Version 7.0 therefore makes it possible to be compatible with this new editor without further delay!
Go to SEO, Advanced, Appearance tab, Metabox section, to activate the universal SEO metabox for the block editor.
🎉 OpenAI #7 iteration
With this new update, you can generate SEO metadata independently from the SEO metabox. Use one of the dedicated button according to your needs.
We have also added commands for WP CLI!
Developers can now automagically generate SEO metadata using AI with the command line interface.
For example, you can enter this command to generate meta descriptions for the post IDs 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in French.
wp seopress ai metadata --id=1,2,3,4,5 --meta=desc --language=fr_FR
🎉 Google Analytics 4: Ecommerce enhancements
It’s now possible to track product views with GA4 Ecommerce. To enable this option, go to SEO, Analytics, Google Analytics tab, Ecommerce section and check “Measure product views” option.
Save changes and clear your cache.
We also fixed several issues related to Google Analytics tracking.
🎉 Other news
This new version of SEOPress also brings its share of improvements and fixes including:
- a better notifications center by sorting notifications by criticality level and adding a badge to show the number of active notifications,
- our internal linking feature for PRO users is now showing the anchor with the suggested link,
- quickly block ChatGPT bot with your robots.txt file (SEO, PRO, robots.txt tab, Block ChatGPT button),
- the metaboxes are finally responsive,
- many minor improvements to the user interface,
- a better compatibility with PHP 8.2,
- and many other things listed in the changelog below!
