SEOPress 7.3 is now available. We encourage you to update your site as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features and security enhancements.
π New β Pre-published checks for the Block Editor
When you click on Publish with the Block Editor, SEOPress will notify you whether or not it is compliant with 4 important points for your SEO:
- a custom meta title has been set,
- a custom meta description has been set,
- your post content has a minimum of 300 words,
- your content is NOT set to noindex.
This will allow you to quickly check essential points before it is too late.
We also want to remind you that you can edit all of your SEO directly from the interface of your favorite editor or page builder thanks to our universal metabox.
Finally, we have many SEOPress blocks for the block editor, to discover here.
π Optimized HTML sitemap
We have added a new option to let user choose to display posts and products by categories / product categories or not when displaying the HTML sitemap.
Go to SEO, XML / HTML sitemap settings page, HTML sitemap tab to change this option (see below):
π Other news
This new version of SEOPress also brings its share of improvements and fixes including:
- improve security (nothing to worry about),
- we now exclude a large number of post types used by page builders (Elementor, Beaver Builder, Brizy, Zion Builder, Breakdance, Oxygen…) from the redirection automatic suggestions,
- fix compatibility issues with Polylang, Oxygen and Themify Builder,
- fix an issue with PHP 8.3 (we still recommend to wait before updating to this new version as WP Core and many themes and plugins are not yet compatible),
- user interface has been enhanced for the AI tab,
- and many other things!
For developers, we have added 2 new hooks:
- seopress_ai_openai_request_args_alt hook to filter the arguments sent to OpenAI for alt texts,
- seopress_pro_breadcrumbs_jsonΒ hook to filter the JSON Breadcrumbs
