SEOPress 4.3 is now available. We encourage you to update your site as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features and improvements.
🎉 New – PHP 8 compatibility
PHP 8 is available since December 2020 and we’re happy to tell you that we are officially compatible! It brings a lot of improvements including performance optimization.
Note: this is a major release of PHP. A lot of plugins and themes are not compatible. We suggest you to wait at least 6 months before upgrading safely to this new version.
🎉 New check for content analysis
Canonical URLs are extremely important for search engines to handle duplicate content. With SEOPress 4.3, our content analysis feature will warn you if something is wrong with your canonical URL (if the tag is missing, or you have duplicated tags etc.).
🎉 User experience improved
It’s now super easy to noindex or nofollow a content from the posts list (see video below). We’ve changed the noindex icon in the column for better understanding as well as improved accessibility and refining some design elements. Our configuration wizard now let you choose to show or hide noindex and nofollow columns in post list.
🎉 Other news – fix GA widget in dashboard, refactoring XML sitemaps and more
SEOPress PRO has a built-in automatic redirect feature to display a notification on post deletion or post slug and create a redirect in two clicks to avoid losing SEO. It’s now possible to disable it from SEO, PRO, 404/301 tab if you don’t need it.
Users can now display price with taxes when using our automatic product schema.
Our import / export tool can now handle primary category from your CSV, just enter your category ID and you’re done.
We have starting refactoring our XML sitemaps feature to load it before all other themes and plugins to drastically reduce conflicts (and support requests).
The Google Analytics stats in dashboard widget is now working again 🎉. As you may know, Google has published a new version for Google Analytics (v4). Currently, we still recommend to dual tag your website with a UA-XXX and G-XXX Ids until the transition on the side of Google and ours is completed. It also means you have to activate a new (free) API from Google Console called Google Analytics Reporting API to get your stats in dashboard.
